Weekly App Practical - Student as Tutorial Designer
Weekly App Practical - Student as Tutorial Designer
In my classroom, 1/3 of my students are ELL. Some of them are shy, barely talk with us in the first couple of months. They don't speak English at home, and the only English input at school is listening to each other. Therefore, I want to create more opportunities for them to listening and speaking English. I discover a website called Book Creator which student can make their own books on this website. For younger kids, they can upload photos and record their voices; they also use the pen tool to draw or annotate for their book cover. For older kids, since we have writing assignments at school every day, they may use this web to bind their daily writing to make a storybook on the weekend. I will collect their books in our class library; children can read their peer's storybooks and motivate to write books. Writing is a long process and essential for students. The first step of writing is that they should believe they are writers. I hope this website can motive students to write and love to write. Below are details about this website.
